After picnicking and being entertained by
our barber shop quartet guests are treated to a programme
of musical favourites performed by The Lewisham Concert Band
under the guest conductor Tom Higgins. As the evening advances
the atmosphere and the music pick up leading to a magnificent
finale, BBC style, of "Land of Hope and Glory" and,
inevitably, a standing ovation.
